OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: With this course, it is aimed that the students get to know the global logistics centers and have a command of the logistics traffic in the world with up-to-date information.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course, the concept of globalization and an overview of global logistics, the concept of logistics center: its historical development and basic features, organizational structure and activities of logistics centers, transportation and warehouse management in logistics centers, establishment of logistics centers: planning, facility location decision and financial structuring models, logistics performance index, Turkey's situation and the impact of logistics centers on logistics performance, the concept of integration: evaluation in terms of transportation types, Global One Belt One Road initiative: transportation networks and Turkey's position, Trans-European transportation networks and Pan-European transportation corridors, America and logistics centers in the Far East, logistics centers in Europe and European Union transport policies, includes logistics centers in Turkey and transport action plan.
