OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to enable students to learn about internal combustion engines. By getting to know engine parts, students will learn about the working principles of internal combustion engines, combustion systems, combustion, fuels, etc. They will have sufficient knowledge on the subject
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of this course; It includes the history of internal combustion engines, engine parts and engine operating principles, engine cycles and calculations, fuels and combustion systems, engine maintenance, braking systems, lubrication and cooling systems.

Can explain the working principles of internal combustion engines.
Can compare gasoline and diesel fueled engines.
Understand the difference between internal combustion engines and hybrid and electric vehicle engines.
