OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	It is aimed to provide information on learning the general pathological changes that cause disease in the living organism at the cellular level, evaluating the formation (pathogenesis) and causes of these pathological changes, recognizing macroscopic changes occurring in tissues and organs, and understanding microscopic changes.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Introduction to pathology and basic concepts; pathological changes at the cellular level; inflammation and immune response; circulatory disorders and their consequences; tissue healing and repair processes; neoplasms (tumors); pathologies according to organ systems; inflammation; healing and transplantation; causes of disease; immunopathology; and developmental disorders.

Defines the basic concept of pathology and states the role of this discipline in the fields of medicine and physiotherapy.
Lists types of cellular adaptations observed in response to environmental stress, including atrophy, hypertrophy, hyperplasia, and metaplasia.
Explains the process of inflammation, its fundamental stages, and the differences between acute and chronic inflammation.
Explains, in sequence, healing processes following tissue injury, including regeneration, fibrosis, and scar formation.
Interprets how disease-specific pathological changes influence physiotherapy goals and approaches through clinical examples.
