OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It's aimed to gain knowledge about properties of matter, atomic, chemical compounds, chemical reactions, aqueous solutions, gases and simple gas laws, atomic electronic structure, periodic table, chemical bonds, thermochemistry, chemical kinetics and equilibrium, acids and bases, and solutions.
Contents of the Course Unit: The properties of matter, atomic, chemical compounds, chemical reactions, aqueous solutions, gases and simple gas laws, atomic electronic structure, periodic table, chemical bonds, thermochemistry, chemical kinetics and chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, solutions.

Calculate the acid-base balance in solutions.
Calculate the pH and concentrations of the solutions.
Solve questions about gas laws.
Explain the ideal gas law.
Explain the properties of matter.
Define the atomic structures and properties of the elements according to their position in the Periodic Table.
