| Objectives of the Course Unit: | It's aimed to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to planning, implementing, and monitoring disease-specific medical nutrition therapy for acute and chronic diseases observed in infants and children, while taking into account individual, cultural, and socioeconomic differences, along with the etiology, clinical symptoms, and complications of these diseases. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Disease-specific nutritional approaches and the planning of appropriate medical nutrition therapy in children with poor appetite, obesity, metabolic syndrome, type 1 diabetes, eating disorders, kidney diseases, liver and pancreatic diseases, food allergies, neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders, and in children with disabilities. |
