OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
The purpose of this course is to introduce to students the basic concepts and institutions of law in order to enhance their understanding of the content of the concepts they face both in their daily lives and in various parts of their education. On the other hand, the course also aims to provide the basis for the law courses students take in the subsequent semesters. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
The course is organised around a number of topics such as the differences between the rule of law from other social rules; contemporary legal systems; law review and compiling of Turkish law; sanctions and its varieties; public law; private law; mixed legal branches and its subdivisions; Turkish positive law and its problems; implementation of law from various perspectives; rights; concepts of ownership of rights and liability; responsibility and operation of responsibility. |

Explains the subject, method, written and unwritten sources and auxiliary sources of law. |
Classifies sub-branches of private and public law such as constitution, criminal, administrative, civil, debts, enforcement-bankruptcy law. |
Compares the powers of legislative, executive and judicial powers with private and public law. |
Explains the concepts of legal event, legal action, legal transaction and the differences between the concepts. |
