Objectives of the Course Unit: | Social psychology is a discipline that aims to understand how our emotions, behavior and thoughts are affected by the social structure and process. The objective of this course, which is the first part of a two-semester course, is to teach the students of the psychology department with a focus on social interaction through an intercultural perspective. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Definition of the field, historical development process, main theoretical and methodological issues, social beliefs and judgments, social context of self, attitudes and behaviors, compliance and obedience, persuasion and group effect. |
