OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of this course to help students gain the skills of yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques, concentration and meditation techniques.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; basic concepts and contents of yoga, philosophy of yoga, yoga schools, movement, respiration, relaxation, concentration and meditation practices which constitute the bases of yoga system, personal attitude and ethical principles of yoga trainer. customized yoga classes: yoga for children, yoga for pregnant women and yoga for adults over 50 years.

Define basic concepts related with Yoga
Tell the historical development of Yoga
Explain the yoga philosophy with its basic contents.
Apply the Yoga positions at basic level
Apply basic level breathing and relaxation techniques specific to Yoga.
Apply basic level concentration and meditation techniques specific to yoga.
