OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to help students gain the knowledge to examine the applications of tourism enterprises related to sports activities and to evaluate the contents of activities in terms of meeting the needs of the society.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; tourism, other basic concepts related with tourist and tourism, touristic assets, types of tourism, functions and historical development of tourism, tourism enterprises, concept of sport tourism and its historical development, the importance of sport tourism in sports management, types of sport tourism, current developments in sport tourism, activities related with sport tourism, sport tourism types in Turkey, animation services and sport animation.

Define basic concepts related with tourism and sport tourism.
List touristic assets and tourism enterprises.
Describe the types of tourism and sport tourism.
Explain the importance of sport tourism in sports science.
Examine the current developments in sport tourism.
Examine the applications of tourism enterprises related to sports activities and evaluate the contents of activities in terms of meeting the needs of the society.
