OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help students gain the skills to prepare appropriate exercise plans based on the philosophy of Sports for Everyone, to carry out the planned sport activities for the individuals with different characteristics.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; the definition of Sports for Everyone, its benefits, its expansion, understanding of Sports for Everyone in Turkey and in the world, sport for health, sport for recreation, sport for children, youth, women, the elderly, families and the individuals with disabilities, selection and programming of sportive activity for different stages of development in human life, Outdoor sports, sport in local governments, Basic task, functioning, organizing role of Federation of Sports for Everyone.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describe the basic concepts related with the understanding of Sports for Everyone.
Explain the effects of sport and exercise activities on quality of life.
Execute planned sports activities for children and youth.
Execute planned sports activities for elderly and pregnant women.
Execute planned sports activities for individuals with special needs.
Examine exercise programs prepared for individuals with different characteristics and evaluate the appropriateness of the content to these differences.
Prepare an appropriate exercise plan by considering the needs of individuals with different characteristics.
