OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to enable students to comprehend the concept of "digital literacy", which has become a new part of the concept of media literacy with the developing communication technologies, to distinguish the content transformation in traditional media and new media, to exhibit a conscious attitude in the process of news and content production and consumption in digital media.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course will focus on the concept of digital literacy and a wide range of topics, such as how individuals find, utilize, analyze, evaluate, interpret, create, and communicate information when using digital technologies.

Students will be able to identify the concepts of digital literacy and digital media literacy.
Students gain awareness about accessing and validating information.
