Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim is to enable students to engage in professional practice within the framework of forensic reporting, case analysis, and ethical responsibilities by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to evaluate—from a medicolegal perspective—injuries, firearm injuries, traffic accidents, poisonings, sexual assault, domestic violence, child neglect and abuse, human rights violations, and forensic issues related to pregnancy and childbirth, all in accordance with the definition of a forensic case and the fundamental principles of forensic medicine.
Content: This course covers the definition of a forensic case; wounds and their types; firearm injuries; traffic accidents and expert witness testimony; poisonings from a forensic medicine perspective; sexual assault examinations; forensic issues related to pregnancy, childbirth, and miscarriage; medicolegal assessment of child neglect and abuse; domestic violence; human rights violations; and the fundamental principles of case evaluation and forensic reporting.
