Objectives and Contents
Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach the structure, operation, and integration processes of digital information systems used in the healthcare field, and to familiarize students with the principles of data sharing and interoperability between different healthcare information systems.
Content: The course content includes: Overview of Digital Health Systems, Integration Concept and Types, Data Sharing Requirements in Health Informatics, HL7 Standard and Message Structure, HL7 Usage Examples, FHIR Standard and Application Areas, Integration of PACS and RIS Systems, Inter-System Integration Architectures, Data Security and Patient Privacy in Integration, Web Services and RESTful Architecture, XML, JSON Data Formats and Data Transformation, Problems Encountered in Integration Processes and Proposed Solutions, and Application Examples.
