Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide theoretical training on the duties and responsibilities of ambulance and emergency care technicians, to introduce the devices and materials used, to familiarize participants with ambulance types, ambulance service standards, and legal responsibilities, so that they can become competent in using ambulances and the equipment inside them to transport patients to the nearest healthcare facility in life-threatening situations.
Content: This course will cover the following topics: emergency medical services system, methods of treating patients and injured individuals, ambulance service standards, ambulance equipment and its use, instruments and materials used in fractures, dislocations and sprains, birthing kits, burn and trauma kits, as well as cardiovascular, abdominal, circulatory, airway, respiratory and neurological assessment criteria, patient immobilization, rescue in disaster situations, safety and case studies.
