| Objectives: | The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the basic terminology and concepts related to the field of orthopedics, and to recognize upper and lower extremity and spinal pathologies, particularly fractures and soft tissue traumas. The goal is for students to understand the clinical features of orthopedic diseases and learn appropriate assessment and basic treatment approaches. |
| Content: | This course covers fundamental terminology and concepts in orthopedics, the definition, formation, types, healing process, treatment methods, and complications of fractures, as well as soft tissue traumas. It also addresses pathologies of the shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, hip, knee, and foot/ankle, as well as pathologies of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions. |
