Objectives and Contents

Objectives: To create a theoretical knowledge that will form the basis of the basic orthosis concept, its aims, and orthotic approaches that are frequently used in lower-upper extremity and trunk pathologies; After lower and upper extremity amputations, it is aimed to provide basic information about prostheses to be applied in accordance with the level of amputation and the use of assistive devices.
Content: Definition and classification of orthoses, lower extremity pathologies and orthoses used, spinal pathologies and orthoses, upper extremity pathologies and orthoses used, causes and levels of lower and upper extremity amputations, basic information on prosthesis applications according to amputation levels, different prosthesis applications, correct prosthesis applications , mobility assist devices.
