Objectives and Contents
Objectives: This course enables students to learn diagnosis and assessment methods pertaining to audiological measurement and evaluation. It provides fundamental knowledge on the methods used in the assessment of hearing.
Content: Within the scope of this course, diagnostic methods for conductive, mixed, and sensorineural hearing loss are explained in detail, alongside various clinical tests used for the differential diagnosis of these hearing losses. Furthermore, the course provides comprehensive information on hearing loss related to the physiological and central components of the auditory system. The causes, symptoms, and diagnostic processes of central hearing loss are examined, with an emphasis on the diagnostic methods and the application of tests required for the evaluation of physiological hearing loss.
