In this course, an introduction to audiometry is provided, and the hearing system and the physical properties of sound are examined. The audiometer and test environment are introduced, and audiometric evaluation methods are taught through practical applications. Types and degrees of hearing loss and audiogram configurations are analyzed. Tuning fork tests, air- and bone-conduction assessments, and speech audiometry are carried out through practical studies. The relationship between air-conduction thresholds and speech tests is explained, and clinical interpretation is performed using sample audiograms. |
