Objectives and Contents
Objectives: At the end of the Periodontics course, students are expected to learn the principles of surgical and non-surgical treatments of diseases and conditions in the field of periodontics, and to be able to compare advanced diagnostic and treatment methods with traditional treatment methods and create treatment plans within an evidence-based framework from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Content: Effects of Systemic Conditions on Periodontium, Effects of Periodontal Inflammation on Systemic Health, Periodontal Treatment in Individuals with Systemic Diseases, Necrotizing Periodontal Diseases, Periodontitis Accompanying Systemic Diseases, Periodontal Abscess, Endodontic-Periodontal Lesions, Smoking and Periodontal Disease, Periodontal Diseases in Female Patients, Periodontal Disease in the Elderly, Bad Breath, General Principles of Periodontal Surgery, Gingival and Periodontal Surgery Techniques, Treatment of Gingival Enlargements, Periodontal Pocket Treatment, Resective Bone Surgery, Reconstructive Periodontal Surgery, Furcation Involvement and Treatment, Periodontal Plastic and Esthetic Surgery, Laser, Supportive Periodontal Treatment
