This course consists of two parts. First part concentrates on the specific theories of FPA that on different levels of analysis intent to examine foreign policy decision making. Before we proceed with this group of theories, students are invited to revisit theories of International Relations that are the essential basis for understanding the foreign policy of a state. Second part of the course focuses on specific case studies. Here, students are taught FPA with the references to concrete events and decisions. This part of the course is an actual application of the first part. Also, in order to help students understand FPA, the second part of the course include assignments. These are presentation of case studies – analysis of the specific events and decisions. |
