Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course aims to introduce the students of psychology department for 1 term the main theories of personality that have shed light on thoughts in the field and shed light on normal/abnormal behaviours and psychotherapy, evaluation of the contribution of these theories to their effectiveness in studying the process of personality development in a lifelong, social and cultural context.
Content: Contents of the course include the subjects such as "personality and theories of personality, personality and psychoanalytic approach, personality and neo analytical approaches, personality and object relations theory, personality and trait approaches, personality and cognitive approaches, personality and humanistic approaches, personality and existentialist approaches, personality and social approaches, personality and behaviourist approaches, personality and biological approaches, personality and evolutionary approaches, personality and holistic approaches, personality and humanistic approaches."
