Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course aims to introduce formation and application of principles, norms and rules in the international field in terms of continuation of relations between world states; indication of sources for international law rules, legal bodies to connect with and possible results and enforcement ways to be confronted in the usage of these norms.
Content: Contents of the course include quality and description of international law, difference of international law from domestic law and law in the EU and relations of it with domestic law and sources of international law (treaties, usage and custom, general principles of law, judicial opinion and doctrine); and bodies in international law (states, stateless human communities, international organizations and private persons), jurisdictional immunity, codification, succession principle of states, international organizations, diplomatic relations, ways and methods, private law bodies, organizational structure regarding the protection of human rights and liabilities of states.
