| Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to examine the historical development of the traditional Turkish house, its plan types, interior design, façade features, materials used, and techniques employed. It also examines its characteristics by region. |
| Content: | This course will cover the following topics: introduction to the course, its transfer to students, comparison of tents used in nomadic life with the Turkish house, construction principles of the Turkish house, materials used in house construction, arrangement of environmental features, sofa-room concepts, examination of doors, windows, ceilings and cupboards through examples, city-neighborhood-silhouette-street concepts, plan types applied in Turkish houses, and their subjects. |
