Objectives and Contents |
| Objectives: |
The aim of this subject is to raise consiciousness about why, when and how to switch from one shot to another and why the footages needs to come one after the other in film editing. The purpose is to raise awareness about needed elements for a successful editing and to teach transferring the non-verbalized concepts with footages. |
| Content: |
Editing and editing theories will be approached within the frame of movie and television history. Continuity editing, Soviet editing and basic concepts of editing will be studied with examples. Along with the technical aspect of editing, the processes in the thinking and creating stages will be discussed by using the thesis of theoreticians. |
