Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with a general understanding of the fundamental concepts, operational and managerial processes, industry practices, and strategic dimensions of airline management.
Content: The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental concepts of airline management, the classification and positioning of airline enterprises, economic regulations affecting the industry, and airlines’ cost structures and efficiency indicators. The course also aims to develop theoretical and analytical knowledge on airline network structures, fleet and schedule planning, airline alliances, low-cost carrier models, air cargo services, passenger rights, revenue management, and airline marketing. Accordingly, the course seeks to equip students with the ability to evaluate the operational, managerial, and strategic dimensions of the airline industry from a holistic perspective.
