Objectives and Contents

Objectives: It is aimed to provide information and attitude on comprehending and applying the basic methods used in the evaluation of orthopedic problems requiring or not requiring surgery and musculoskeletal system injuries, and on selecting and applying the most appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches specific to the pathology and the surgical procedure performed.
Content: General treatment principles of fractures and physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches following various types of fractures; conservative management of conditions leading to joint degeneration such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as rehabilitation principles following joint replacement surgeries such as endoprostheses; rehabilitation of shoulder joint pathologies including rotator cuff tendinitis and tears, bursitis, and periarthritis; rehabilitation of patellofemoral pain syndrome, ligament injuries, and meniscal injuries of the knee.
