AMAÇ VE İÇERİK
Amaç:	Güncel hayatımızdan örneklerle ekonominin ne olduğunu hem teorik hem de pratikte anlaşılmasını sağlayarak tüketim, üretim ve fiyatların oluşumuna ilişkin bilgilerin kazandırılması amaçlanmaktadır.
İçerik:	Ekonominin temelleri, mikroekonomi ile makroekonomiye giriş konuları, bireysel, firma, farklı piyasalar ve genel denge düzeylerinde tüketim, üretim kararları ve fiyatların oluşumu.

DERSİN ÖĞRENME ÇIKTILARI (Öğrenciler, bu dersi başarı ile tamamladıklarında aşağıda belirtilen bilgi, beceri ve/veya yetkinlikleri gösterirler.)
Ekonomik karar verme süreçlerinde refah ve etkinlik konularının etkisini çözümler.
Tüketici tercihlerinin tayininde etkili olan faktörleri açıklar.
Piyasaların nasıl çalıştığını açıklar.
Değişik piyasalar için firma davranışlarını açıklar.
Makro temelde ekonominin ölçülmesi üzerine kategorize eder.
Kısa dönem ve uzun dönem arasında makro ekonomik süreci karşılaştırır.
