OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to define the tasks that public relations practitioner should undertake in a political communication campaign by introducing concepts and past campaigns on political communication.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in definition of basic concepts of political communication, identification of political actors, identification of the structure of political communication programs, introduction and use of media channels, interpretation of political systems, describing the political communication campaigns.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the conditions for political advisory in a political communication campaign
Define the problems in past political communication programs
Summarize at least three of the concepts related to political communication
Explain the history and related theories of political communication
Show the link between political systems and mass media with the help of institutional framework
Use at least three media channels in a political communication campaign
