Aim of the Program

To train qualified and technical staff that can help Dentists and conduct dental laboratory stages.

Target of the Program

Oral and Dental Health Technicians are health professionals supporting dentists during the treatment of oral and dental health problems.

Career Opportunities

Upon their graduation, students receive the title of “Oral and Dental Health Technician”. If they wish, program graduates may also continue their studies at suitable higher level programs specified by the Turkish Higher Education Board (YÖK).

Future of the Department

With the increase in the number of clinics and dental hospitals, the need for technicians to assist dentists in examination and measurement has also increased. Therefore, it is one of the departments with the widest job opportunities. Graduates can work as "dental technicians" in Education and Research Hospitals besides state and city hospitals. In addition, Oral and Dental Health students can pass the DGS exam, which is a 4-year undergraduate department, to Health Management.

In order to study Oral and Dental Health, it is necessary to earn the Vocational School of Health Services. Students who want to win this department must be successful in the TYT exam.

Programmes allowing Vertical Transfer


All students who want to transfer to our department with Vertical Transfer are placed by OSYM if they take the Vertical Transfer Exam and get enough points. Students who meet all the requirements are eligible to enter departments such as Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing, Health Management or Social Work, which are four years of undergraduate education.
