OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to explore the historical development of graphic design, focusing on the aesthetic, cultural, and technological influences of different periods. Students will analyze major design movements, influential designers, and key works, critically evaluating their impact on contemporary graphic design practices.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course covers the evolution of graphic design from early manuscripts to the invention of the printing press, from the Bauhaus movement to the emergence of digital design. By examining key design movements, influential figures, and significant works, students will gain an understanding of historical contexts and their integration into modern design processes.
