OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Experimental Cinema course aims to give students an idea about the individual and artistic aspects of cinema with the experimental works that have existed since the first years of cinema.
Contents of the Course Unit: Within the scope of the course, experimental cinema will be described from various angles. Films made from avant-garde cinema to the present day will be analyzed through their directors and periods, and comparisons will be made on subjects and methods of operation. In addition, in-class discussions will be held on sample experimental films.

Define experimental works in cinema.
Explain the differences of experimental film.
Compare the effects of experimental film on cinema and society.
Explain the theories within the critical perspective of experimental film.
