OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To analyze the dynamics of globalization, regionalization and localization in the international system; consider such post-Cold War issues like international migration, terrorism, climate change, humanitarian intervention and cyberspace and to enable to conduct scientific research about these new phenomena.
Contents of the Course Unit: Interactions among the dynamics of globalization, regionalization and localization; evolution of the international system in the post-Cold War period; old and new state and non-state actors; international migration; terrorism; climate change; humanitarian intervention and cyber security.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Students taking this course explain the historical evolution of politics, economics, military and culture in the post-Cold War era.
Draw connections between the Cold War and post-Cold War phenomena.
Define the new actors, propensities, opportunities, risks and threats in a globalizing international system.
Analyze post-Cold War phenomena according to international relations theories.
Make research on such global issues as energy, identity, migration, terrorism and cyberspace personally or as a team member.
