OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to provide students with the basic knowledge necessary to develop, implement and evaluate strategies in businesses in the light of basic concepts related to strategic management.
Contents of the Course Unit: Basic concepts of strategic management, strategy types, strategy formulation (institutional mission statement, strategy analysis and selection, external evaluation, internal evaluation), strategic decision making, strategy implementation, strategy evaluation and control.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Knows the basic concepts of strategic management.
Create the mission and vision definition of the business.
Can do SWOT analysis.
Can create short and long term strategic goals.
Can develop alternative management strategies and choose between alternatives.
Can implement selected strategies.
Can evaluate the results of the implemented strategy.
