OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | It is aimed to gain knowledge about nutrition-related pediatric diseases, energy and nutrient requirements, appropriate nutrition planning for diseases. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Nutrition-related diseases in children, case follow-up in the clinic, methods of determining the nutritional status in children, principles of nutrition in acute gastroenteritis in premature babies, malnutrition, carbohydrate, protein, fat malabsorption, weakness, eating behavior disorders, obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and kidney diseases. Calculation of energy and nutrient requirements in premature babies, acute gastroenteritis, malnutrition, carbohydrate, protein, fat malabsorption, weakness, eating behavior disorders, obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and kidney diseases, and planning diet therapy according to the requirements, characteristics of formulas and products specific to diseases and usage areas. |
