OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course; to learn the necessary approaches for evaluating the patient and developing the program in different age groups, to learn the aims of exercise therapy, to classify the exercise and to plan the exercise program, to gain the ability to prepare the proper exercise program by determining the factors affecting normal joint motions, problem solving in postural disorders determined by basic evaluation and measurement methods and improve the ability to create an exercise program.
Contents of the Course Unit: Approaches for assessing the patient and developing the program, the aims of exercise therapy, effects and principles, classification of exercise and planning of exercise program, determining the problems of normal joint motion, planning and implementation of exercise program for problems, planning of exercise programs in different postural problems and learning applications.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Ability to define the necessary approaches for assessing the patient and developing the program, to identify exercise classifications, to discover the aims and effects of the exercises.
Creates treatment plan for exercise therapy, implements properly, makes follow-up, advances the program.
Associates the exercises with other modalities used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation to increase the effectiveness of exercise therapy.
Learn the problems and properties of postural disorders.
Gain problem solving, exercise program planning and application skills in different postural disorders.
Gain communication and practice experience that can exercise on individual or group illness and healthy persons.
