OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for planning and implementing assessment methods and physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs specific to neurological diseases.
Contents of the Course Unit: Basic concepts of neurological rehabilitation; assessment and treatment practices in spinal cord injuries; assessment and treatment practices in disc herniations; assessment and treatment practices in traumatic brain injuries and intracranial tumors; assessment and treatment practices in degenerative diseases; assessment and treatment practices in peripheral nerve injuries; and case-based applications.

Explains the concept and scope of neurological rehabilitation.
Explains the conditions that cause functional impairments and disabilities in neurological disorders.
Performs basic and disease-specific assessment and evaluation methods in neurological disorders.
Implements basic and disease-specific physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs in neurological disorders.
Designs patient-centered treatment plans in neurological disorders.
Adapts various rehabilitation programs for neurological patients.
