OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to analyze what the new media has changed socially and how the social culture is affected by the new media with examples. It is aimed to question the relationship between popular culture, society and new media from the perspective of cultural studies, and to direct students to semiotic analysis and content analysis with case studies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Social culture, popular culture, new approaches to new media, new media analysis, new media applications

It develops its knowledge in the fields of philosophy, culture, society and sciences and combines this knowledge with original definitions and concepts that will bring innovation to the field of new media.

It plays an active role in the solutions of new media-oriented social and cultural problems.
Approaches scientific problems related to the field in a systematic way and develops original approaches to solve them.
Interprets and solves current and social problems in a systematic way.
