OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to comprehend the legal and institutional structure of the world trade system and to analyze the effects of this on the trade policies of the countries. At the same time, the course also aims to provide students with the ability to interpret the history and geography of international economic relations differently and to develop their international business management skills.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course covers the beginning of globalization, the rise of globalization, customs tariffs and trade practices, World Trade Organization and GATT, Trade Policy and Trade Agreements and Protectionism in Foreign Trade.

1. Explain the basic concepts of globalization. 2. Introduces the historical process of globalization. 3. Introduces the agreements and regulatory institutions that shape the trade policies of the countries. 4. Analyze the global background of international trade practices. 5. Shows with examples how the policies implemented with globalization affect international trade.
