OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to transfer information, tools and standards on how to manage the successful software development process.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course teaches the basics of software engineering. Especially waterfall model is taught within the course of software life cycle. Separate pre-product development, evolutionary development, roles of staff in each department, requirements analysis; application types such as software design, standards and programming language types and documentation, verification and validation and quality assurance are covered.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

1. Plan software development processes and know how to perform software implementation. 2. Being aware of quality management in software development process. 3. Being able to organize and plan in software development processes. 4. Know the existing standards for software development.
