OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to provide information about dam types and different parts of dams, and to gain skills related to dam design and construction.
Contents of the Course Unit: It contains types of dams, parts of dams, principles of dam design, design of spillways and other facilities.

To be able to calculate the forces acting on the dams
To be able to comprehend the methods used in dam design
To be able to analyze the hydraulic and hydrological systems used in dam planning and design
