OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To inform the dietician about the nutritional related diseases they will encounter in the future and the biochemical findings related to these diseases and their interpretation.
Contents of the Course Unit: Introduction, general description of the course, purpose, goals, expectations; Obesity, insulin resistance, calculation of insulin resistance (for adults and children) Biochemical changes in obesity Diabetes, biochemical changes in diabetes Case presentation Cardiovascular diseases, biochemical changes in cardiovascular diseases Cancer and its types Biochemical changes according to cancer types Kidney diseases, types and biochemical changes

Explain nutritional diseases and biochemical findings related to these diseases.
Interpret the biochemical findings caused by nutritional diseases.
