OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge and attitudes about urology nursing, diagnosis of nursing, planning, implementation, evaluation and effective communication with other healthcare professionals.
Contents of the Course Unit: Urology Nursing, Nursing Care, Urinary System Infections, Urinary System Injuries, Urinary System Stone Diseases, Urinary System Tumors, Urinary Incontinence, Male Reproductive System Diseases, Female Reproductive System Diseases

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explains the basic concepts and principles of urology nursing.
Applies the nursing process of the urology patient before, during and after surgery.
Applies precautions regarding urinary incontinence in the elderly and children.
Applies nursing care to healthy / sick individuals related to urinary system.
Participates patient education and counseling.
