OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help the students gain the ability to teach the pilates exercise techniques, to prepare the series of pilates techniques and to execute pilates exercise applications.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; classical and modern pilates approaches: examination of similarities and differences, basic, intermediate and advanced matwork and reformer exercises and practices; basic level cadillac exercises and formation of pilates exercise series.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the basic concepts and exercise types specific for Pilates.
Apply Pilates Matwork, Reformer and Cadillac exercises.
Teach Pilates exercise movements.
Examine the series of Pilates exercise movements with a technical perspective.
Prepare series for various pilates exercises.
Execute studies for Pilates exercises.
