This course aims to enable students to recognize and analyze public and semi-public spaces, identify user needs in these spaces, and make accessible and functional design decisions. During the course, observation and spatial analysis are conducted on a designated project area; user behaviors are examined; and a needs program for the area is developed. Urban furniture and environmental fixtures are evaluated in accordance with anthropometric and ergonomic criteria, material selections, and safety standards. Students apply the knowledge they have acquired to develop original urban furniture and environmental design projects. |
