Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to analyze the relationships between the hotel building located in the city and its users and surroundings, develop design solutions that meet functional requirements, create a design concept, visualize this concept using 2D and 3D tools, and acquire the ability to defend their work using professional presentation techniques.
Content: In this course, students will comprehensively analyze the spatial functions of a multi-story hotel located in the city center. Considering user needs and environmental relationships, solutions will be developed for the functioning of the spaces. Existing structural conditions will be carefully examined, and the data obtained will be effectively transferred to the design process. Students will create design concepts and materialize these concepts through sketch studies and 2D-3D modeling. In addition, detailed drawings will be prepared at various scales within the scope of the project, and the technical and aesthetic dimensions of architectural design will be addressed holistically. Throughout the course, students will be expected to document their designs in accordance with professional presentation standards and defend them before a jury.
