Objectives: | This course aims to enable students to recognize building typologies; to understand the physical, functional, and social factors influencing building planning; to analyze spaces in different building types from a functional perspective; and to apply the basic principles of planning and spatial organization through examples. |
Content: | Contents of the course include the subjects such as notion of space and its components, construction-building concept, fundamental factors affecting building planning and design, function analyses, buildings in terms of their typology, their categorisation, design, principles of planning and space organisation. |
