| Objectives: | This course aims to review the sociological theories on gender and family. Various theoretical perspectives about gender and family will be examined and discussed through readings and examples from everyday life. The social factors shaping families and gender relations will be examined. Changes in family and gender roles will be analyzed in a historical and cultural view. |
| Content: | The concept of family, the theories of gender, female roles in Turkey, gender in business life, feminism, basic feminist ideas and masculinities are being discussed. |
