Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge needed to work in a variety of ground handling roles within the aviation industry. It covers a variety of topics, including airport operations, security procedures, aircraft handling, and passenger services. The overall goal is to prepare students for careers in ground handling, ramp handling, customer service, and other related roles.
Content: The course will cover such as; airport operations, airside safety, ground handling roles, aircraft handling and servicing, aircraft marshalling and communication, cargo and baggage handling, load control and planning, emergency response, IATA standards and procedures, aircraft de-icing and anti-icing procedures, ground servicing equipment and customer service. In addition, students will be provided with practical knowledge through activities such as inviting industry experts to the course and organizing airport technical tours.
