Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course aims to enable the student to evaluate social movements in a historical perspective, to reveal the relationship between social problems and social movements and to discuss the effects of social movements on the local and global levels with examples from history.
Content: Contents of the course include; the definition of social movement, examples from history; labor movements, feminism, fascism and anti-colonial movements in the interwar period, 1968 transformation, new social movements and interpretation of new problems.
