Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course aims to improve aptitude for analyzing the state concept and types of states, governmental systems and democracy concepts after the constitution concept is examined within the scope of general principles in constitution law. It also aims to improve aptitude for evaluating constitutional developments in Ottoman Empire, constitutional developments in Republic Period, fundamental rights and freedoms originated from 1982 Constitution, restrictions of them under the title Turkish constitutional law and characteristics of principle organs of Turkish Government.
Content: Contents of the course include the birth of constitutional concept, development of it and constitutional movements in Turkey together with constitutional systems in principal states of the world, the legal system originated from 1982 Constitution in comparison with Turkish constitutions applied in previous periods.
